IRSC Cheers on Baseball and Softball Teams at A 'Day at the Ballpark' Event

Āé¶¹app River State College students, faculty and staff all enjoyed a āDay at the Ballparkā where the College was delighted to have past students Larry Howard and Mary Huff throw out the honorary first pitches at homefield baseball and softball games on Friday, February 12.

Larry Howard serves as Brighton Councilman, Tribal CouncilāSeminole Tribe of Florida. Mary Huff is alumnae of the IRSC softball team and a First Team All-Southern Conference pitcher. Additionally, two-time National League All-Star playerāand hometown favoriteāCharles Johnson greeted players and fans before the start of the games.
Both the Baseball and Softball teams are off to solid starts this year. Āé¶¹app River baseball is ready for conference play and the softball team is in contention for a Southern Conference Championship and spot at the state tournament held in Sanford this May.
